Materials just got ordered

For those of you anxiously awaiting your leather gear, I just placed an order for another steer hide and some various hardware. I should receive the materials within the next week or so and start immediately.

Fireman Staley's truck belt

I just finished up Gold Bar FD #26/Station 54's Gillon Staley's truck belt. Thanks for the opportunity brother.

What goes into your piece of Equipmet?

For the most part, every piece of equipment I hand craft is accompanied and supported by a litte "Sailor Jerry's" spiced rum. I like to take the time to step back have a drink, and think of the fellow brother/sister that will be using this leather to help them succeed in their job as a Fireman. If I don't know you personally, I will often do a little research on your organization/department to make sure that I know something about where this stuff is going. The whole intent is to give a little "brotherly love" into the item that you ordered and to take the time to think about you as a Fireman, or if I don't know you personally, think about your organization within the Fire Service and how you fall into it.

The American Fire Service was founded on Courage, Pride, Tenacity, Brass, and Leather. I'm doing my part on keeping that up, and enjoying it at the same time.

So here is to "Sailor Jerry" and the beverage he made his own, and to all my brothers & sisters out there who make their job......................their own.

Bellingham Firefighters Pipes & Drums

As of today I have been honored to have the opportunity of making the belts to be worn by the Bellingham Firefighters Pipes & Drums band. Founding member, P.J. Burt stopped by and gave me the ground work plan for their custom belt buckles and what they wanted their belts to look like. We together came up with a plan on how to custom cut and design the leather belt specific to this group that will surely "be their own".
I look forward to begin custom hand crafting 17 belts to be worn by this Firefighting Pipes & Drums band. Thank you again, and I look forward to displaying the finished product.
